Homestar Runner – a lovely, silly, and inexplicably expansive comic about some strange friends
Slime Volleyball – thank goodness someone has actually saved this for HTML 5 yayyy!
Denise Lewis Heptathlon – flash game that destroyed my knuckles, made for the Commonwealth Games in 2002
Defend Your Castle – someone got annoyed at me for reminding them of this game back in 2009 because it’s very very addictive. But fun too :)
Samorost 1. This game is gorgeous.
Boohbah – someone actually made a mirror of this site which ITV obviously stopped paying the bill for. Obviously. Because it’s extraordinarily weird. I think it was intended to promote a TV show. Instead it fills me with existential dread.
In the naughties a snazzy website was considered crucial for promoting a new TV show. Time Trumpet and Nathan Barley TV were awesome examples with lots of original content. To me they appear to have stopped working, but they were such a joy I’m leaving it here in case someone else can get them to work
